Check-In (Bib & T-Shirt Pick-Up) and Race Day Registration will be located in the Trinity Baptist Church Recreation Outreach Center (ROC). Water fountains and restrooms are located inside the ROC, for race day access. If you need assistance during the race day activities, please look for one of our many NH5K Volunteers (their shirts will say "Volunteer" on the back)! We are looking forward to a fantastic morning together as we support Backpack Buddies through Inter-Faith Food Shuttle!
Why Race:
2023 NORTH HILLS 5K Beneficiary—BackPack Buddies
BackPack Buddies is a program that runs in numerous U.S. cities and seeks to provide children from food-insecure homes with healthy weekend meals during the school year. The children are idenfified by school guidance counselors and social workers to be recipients of the BackPack meals at the end of every week. All food is non-perishable. The food is placed in a backpack, so the need is less noticeable to other children.
According to the USDA, in the U.S., 12 million children may not know where they will get their next meal. Please join us on Saturday, September 9, 2023, as we raise funding to support this crifical program to eradicate child hunger in our area. Children in our own community should not have to worry where they will get their next meal. If you are not able to join us on race day, please consider a donafion of any amount (www.northhills5k.com).
